Basic Keyboard Triads in C Major

What is a Triad?

A triad is a three-note chord built by stacking thirds. In its basic form, it contains:

Root (1st note)
Third (3rd note)
Fifth (5th note)

Major Triads in C Major Scale

How to Build Triads:

Major Triad: Root + 4 half steps + 3 half steps
Minor Triad: Root + 3 half steps + 4 half steps
Diminished: Root + 3 half steps + 3 half steps

Practice Tips:

Start by playing each triad slowly in root position
Practice moving between triads smoothly
Try common progressions like:
- C - F - G - C
- C - Am - F - G
- C - Em - F - G
Practice both hands separately, then together

Remember:

Keep your wrist relaxed
Practice slowly and gradually increase speed
Listen for clear, even sound from all three notes
